Why the Media Leans Left

Join the Bulverde Republican Women (Bar-W) on Wednesday, May 9th at 6:30 PM at the GVTC Auditorium in welcoming Jonathan Gurwitz when he speaks on bias in the media and how to sort the fact from the spin in these days of the unending 24-hour news cycle.

Mr. Gurwitz is a columnist and member of the editorial board of the San Antonio Express-News and a contributor to the Wall Street Journal. His weekly columns on politics, social issues and international affairs are distributed internationally by the Hearst News Service and the New York Times News Service, and appear in major newspapers across the United States and around the world.

A native of San Antonio, Mr. Gurwitz attended Alamo Heights High School and graduated from the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in foreign service with a concentration in International Relations, Law and Organization. He is a member of Pi Sigma Alpha, the National Political Science Honor Society and the National Conference of Editorial Writers, for which he serves as Chairman of its International Relations Committee.
